Description
In the field of petroleum, hydraulic fracturing refers to a method of using hydraulic action to form fractures in oil and gas reservoirs during oil or gas production, also known as hydraulic fracturing.
After a certain stage of oil well production, the production capacity and permeability decrease. In order to enhance oil drainage capacity and increase oil well production, people have invented fracturing technology. The methods of fracturing can be divided into two categories: hydraulic fracturing and high-energy gas fracturing. Hydraulic fracturing relies on a high-pressure pump truck set on the ground to inject fluid into the well at high speed, and with the help of the high pressure trapped at the bottom of the well, it causes the rock in the oil reservoir to fracture and produce cracks. To prevent cracks from self closing, the injected liquid into the formation will mix with sand with a higher density. After the sand enters the crack, it will permanently remain in the crack, supporting the crack in an open state and improving the oil flow environment for a long time.
The current hydraulic fracturing technology is very mature and has a significant effect on increasing oil well production, making it the preferred and commonly used technology. Especially for oil reservoirs with small oil flow channels, which have low permeability, the production increase effect is particularly prominent.
